2. Hon Dau island
Hon Dau island or Dau island is a peaceful little island with the beauty of primeval forest, located 1km from Do Son peninsula. It not only attracts tourists by the fresh air but also an ideal place to explore the cultural and historical value of Hai Phong. This is perfect for hideaway picnic.
There are constant boats to carry you to Hon Dau Island. Firstly, you need to go to Hon Dau resort at zone 3 Do Son. Then head to Hon Dau island harbor. Car entrance fee is 30.000VND. Island visit ticket: 20.000VND/person wrote at counter (actual fee on island gate: 6.000VND). Also, to get to Hon Dau island, you need to get there by boat. If it’s in festival or holidays, transfer fee is 70.000VND/person shared boat. But in normal days, you need to hire private boat to go. 3. Cao Linh pagoda
Cao Linh Pagoda Hai Phong – A temple with a mixed architecture between Eastern traditions and Western modernity. This architecture has made Cao Linh pagoda both majestic and different from other temples. This is also a spiritual destination that attracts the most tourists in Hai Phong. This is the third tourist attractions outside Hai Phong.
Cao Linh Pagoda with an area of over 49,000m2 was built in an unknown year. But the stone stele of the pagoda records the date of restoration in Hau Le period, about more than 300 years ago.

Until 2001, the local government rebuilt the pagoda, turned from West direction to South with the current architecture.

4. Bao Dai King Villa
Bao Dai Villa Hai Phong is one of the seven palaces of King Bao Dai. This is the last King of the feudal regime in Vietnam. Early known as a seaport province established the French colonialists, Hai Phong has been nowadays attracting foreign travelers by its beautiful coastline, the world’s biosphere reserves – Cat Ba Archipelago and Lan Ha Bay including a rich system of limestone karsts, coral reefs and white-sand beaches. Those are ideal features that the last king of Vietnam realized since the previous century. That might be the reason for a grand building – Bai Dai Villa. Geographically, the villa is specifically located on Vung hill, Do Son district, Hai Phong city. Not only is it a unique architectural work, but it also has historical value associated with the last king of the feudal dynasty in Vietnam, whose famous saying is “I would rather live as an ordinary citizen of an independent country than be Emperor of a nation of slaves”.

6. Trang Kenh Complex
Trang Kenh Complex – the city’s largest complex of historical monuments is located at the estuary of Bach Dang River, just 20 km from downtown. It also was recognized as the national historical relic in 1962, one of the earliest classified relics in Hai Phong city.

7. Zone 2 Do Son beach
There are 3 beaches in Do Son: zone 1, zone 2, zone 3 (in Hon Dau resort). Besides Cat Ba island, Do Son is the second best beach in Hai Phong city. The zone 2 brings the best experience for tourists as it’s longest and has strongest waves. In this area, you are able to hire bicycle to ride around.

10. Tien Lang hot spring (last tourist attractions outside Hai Phong)
The last tourist attractions outside Hai Phong is Tien Lang hot spring. It is located 20km from Haiphong city center. After having Haiphong city tour, here is an ideal place for tourists to relax. In 1965, Russian experts placed 14b drills in Tien Lang town, Tien Lang district, Hai Phong to conduct geological surveys. They discovered at a depth of 850m, hot water of 54 degrees C level erupted up the ground. But it was only in 1982 that this water source was put into exploitation and use. This is one of five mineral water mines of Vietnam (along with Binh Chau – Ba Ria – Vung Tau mineral springs, Thap Ba mineral springs – Khanh Hoa, Kim Boi – Hoa Binh mineral springs, My Lam – Tuyen Quang mineral springs) is recognized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) with high mineral content, has the effect of healing, restoring health. The same type of some famous mineral water in the world such as: Mirgorod of Russia, Darkov of Czech Republic, Baisov of Bulgaria, E`laruc and Sallivs de Jura of France.
But it was only in 1982 that this water source was put into exploitation. In 2004, Tien Lang hot spring mineral water tourist area was formed.
