American Newspaper: Vietnam will become the new focal point of tourism in Asia.

The travel website Travel Off Path predicts that Vietnam will become a new focal point of tourism in Asia after adjusting its visa policies.

The American-based travel website explains that Vietnam is set to become a new attractive tourist destination in Asia due to three advantages: a more open visa policy, well-preserved natural beauty, and a focused direction towards tourism development.

“When travelers think of Southeast Asia, Thailand is often the first destination that comes to mind. However, if you want to avoid the tourist crowds in Thailand, Vietnam is an emerging spot in the region that is enticing enough to explore,” introduces the specialized website. “Vietnam is quickly becoming one of the most popular resort destinations in Southeast Asia.”

The article delves into the analysis of three factors that have been contributing to Vietnam’s increasing recognition among international tourists. With the effective visa policy starting from August 15, tourists will find it easier to visit Vietnam, with visa procedures becoming “easy, straightforward, and affordable,” according to Travel Off Path.

The website also praises Vietnam’s natural beauty and budget-friendly costs for travelers. Compared to the tourism hub of Southeast Asia, Thailand, Vietnam is considered a more pocket-friendly destination, although both places can cater to budget-conscious travelers.

“Vietnam is seen as one of the most cost-effective countries for tourism in the region. Accommodation, food, and transportation in Vietnam are cheaper than in Thailand, especially if you travel to rural areas,” the specialized website writes and believes that this is the perfect time to explore Vietnam.

In 2023, Vietnam initially targeted attracting 8 million tourists, a number predicted to increase to 10 million by the end of the year. According to Google Destination Insights, Vietnam is one of the most searched-for destinations globally from March to June. Vietnam also stands as the only Southeast Asian country to be listed in the top 20 destinations.
