Ben Got ferry to Cat Ba (Cai Vieng) : Announcement on ferry ticket prices from Got terminal to Cai Vieng port to serve tourists visiting Cat Ba during the summer and provide the latest information on ticket prices, ferry operating hours, and suitable departure times for all tourists.
To support summer tourism in Cat Ba and ensure no overload during peak season, Cat Ba Island has adopted green tourism, community-based tourism, and resort tourism trends.
Please note that on holidays and weekends during the peak season, ferry trips may be congested for 2 – 3 hours. If you do not wish to use the ferry service, you can opt for alternative means of transportation such as taking a bus from Hanoi to Cat Ba combined with Cat Ba high-speed boat or Cat Ba cable car, or using high-speed boats from Got terminal and Binh terminal.

As per the official announcement in document number 5741/VP-GT3 dated December 18, 2018, by the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City, there is good news for all residents of Cat Hai that ferry tickets at Got Ferry are now free of charge.

The contents of the official document are as follows:
- Free ferry tickets for all students, teachers, and residents with permanent residency in Cat Hai District.
- Reduced fare to the initial price (price at the time of no increase) for all residents with household registration in Cat Hai, pedestrians, passengers, bicycles, motorbikes, and non-commercial vehicles with less than 9 seats.
- The implementation of free and reduced fares starts from January 1, 2019.
- This is incredibly exciting news for the local residents living and working in Cat Hai.
Ferry Ticket Prices from Ben Got ferry to Cat Ba 2023
APPLICABLE TO TOURISTS AND VEHICLES TRAVELING BY FERRY AT GOT TERMINAL
- Pedestrian (New fare): 12,000 VND/person/one-way ferry
- Bicycle (New fare): 12,000 VND/person/one-way ferry
- Various types of bicycle carts (New fare): 12,000 VND/person/one-way ferry
- Motorcycle (New fare): 45,000 VND/vehicle/one-way ferry
- Cars with less than 9 seats (Excluding passengers) (New fare): 190,000 VND/vehicle/one-way ferry
Ferry fee for passenger vehicles (Not including passenger fees):
- Cars with 9 to under 24 seats: 210,000 VND/vehicle/one-way ferry
- Cars with 24 to under 32 seats: 240,000 VND/vehicle/one-way ferry
- Cars with 32 seats and above: 330,000 VND/vehicle/one-way ferry

- There is a ferry every 30 minutes.
