Lotte Hanoi Sky is the observation deck on the 65th floor of Lotte Center, at 54 Lieu Giai in Hanoi. Choose it for a high-level city panorama and the transparent Skywalk floor. A clear late afternoon lets you see the city in daylight and stay as the lights come on; in heavy haze or low cloud, the view may not justify a special journey.
Use the exact attraction name when booking transport or admission. Lotte Hanoi Sky, Top of Hanoi rooftop bar and Lotte World Aquarium are three different experiences. The aquarium is in another building, Lotte Mall Westlake, while the observation deck and rooftop bar have different admission and visiting arrangements within Lotte Center.
Is the observation deck worth your time?
The main reason to come is to understand Hanoi’s scale from above: the dense city, broad roads and changes in the urban landscape are easier to appreciate than from street level. It fits a couple, family or solo traveler who enjoys views and wants a relatively short activity.
It is less useful if you expect an in-depth history exhibition or want to see the Old Quarter’s architecture closely. A tower panorama and a neighborhood walk reveal different things. If you only have one short afternoon in Hanoi and the skyline is obscured, spend that time at ground level instead.
Budget about 60–90 minutes for the deck as a starting plan, allowing more if you want a drink, sunset photographs or an additional activity. Add the journey and any ticket or elevator queue separately. You do not need to fill half a day with paid extras to make a straightforward visit worthwhile.
Where to enter and how to get upstairs
The address is 54 Lieu Giai, Giang Vo, Hanoi. Give your driver “Lotte Center, Lieu Giai,” rather than simply “Lotte,” which can point to a different mall or hotel.
One ticket counter is on basement B1, near Lotte Mart. Another is on the 65th floor, reached through the Lotte Hotel Hanoi entrance. Follow Hanoi Sky signs or ask building staff for the observation-deck route; a hotel restaurant elevator is not automatically the correct starting point.
For a prepaid voucher, check whether it needs a counter exchange and which entrance to use before joining a queue. Keep the voucher available offline and make sure its date and included services match your plan.
Opening is listed as 9:30am–10:30pm daily. Treat that as the operating window, not a promise that arriving just before closing leaves enough time upstairs. Ask about the final admission time if visiting late.
Tickets: weekday entry and everyday packages
The standard admission tariff applies Monday–Friday, excluding holidays: VND230,000 for visitors over 12 and VND170,000 for children aged 3–12. Children under 3 enter free. Check the selected date and child category before paying.
Everyday options include a Drink Combo or Gift Combo at VND280,000 per adult and VND220,000 per child, with deck admission. For a weekend or holiday, compare the packages actually offered for that date rather than assuming the weekday entry-only tariff applies.
Pick the package by what you will use. A drink-inclusive ticket can be sensible if you want to sit with the view; a larger bundle is less attractive when its games, photo service or gift do not interest you. Compare the final total, not just the number of items in the package name.
Costume rental, VR experiences and photography services can be extra. Ask which particular game or photo product a package includes, and whether everyone in your group meets its participation conditions. Ordinary observation-deck entry should not be read as unlimited access to every activity.
For date-specific admission questions, contact the Hanoi Sky front desk on +84 24 3333 6565 or Hanoisky.booking@lotte.vn. Include children’s ages and the activities you want when asking for a family total.
Skywalk, sunset and photographs
The transparent Skywalk sections are part of the attraction’s appeal: you can look down through glass as well as outward across the city. You can also concentrate on the ordinary observation areas. There is no need to make a reluctant child or adult step onto the glass floor for a photograph.
For sunset, head toward the west-facing viewing area. Check that day’s sunset time and arrive with a margin for tickets and the elevator, rather than treating sunset as your arrival time at the building. A colorful sky depends on conditions; a late-afternoon booking cannot guarantee it.
Daylight is better for picking out the shape of the city. After dark, illuminated roads and buildings become the subject, but reflections in the windows become more noticeable. Turn off your camera flash, move away from bright interior lights where possible and look for a clear section of glass without obstructing other visitors.
If photography is your main goal, inspect visibility before committing to a package. A clear morning can be more useful than a hazy sunset slot. Leave some flexibility in a multi-day stay so that the visit follows the weather instead of occupying an unchangeable hour.
Hanoi Sky or Top of Hanoi rooftop bar?
Hanoi Sky is the ticketed 65th-floor observation attraction. Top of Hanoi is the hotel’s rooftop bar on the 67th floor, with its own evening service. Decide whether you want a viewing visit and Skywalk or a bar-centered evening before making a booking.
Do not assume a Hanoi Sky ticket reserves a rooftop-bar table, or that buying a drink at the bar includes observation-deck admission. Ask the hotel separately about the bar’s current reservation arrangements, menu and any weather-related changes. If a seat with a view is essential, resolve that before arriving.
Combining the deck with Lotte World Aquarium
The SkyAqua combination ticket connects two attractions in different locations. Lotte World Aquarium is at Lotte Mall Westlake, 272 Vo Chi Cong, rather than downstairs in Lotte Center. Plan an actual journey between the buildings.
Combo terms distinguish Vietnamese and foreign visitor prices, with potential weekend, holiday and child-height supplements. Give the seller your nationality, date and children’s heights as well as ages. Confirm the aquarium voucher’s redemption process and expiry before deciding whether to visit both attractions on one day.
The Hanoi aquarium comparison explains the Westlake venue and its alternative at Times City. If the aquarium is already your family’s main outing, add Hanoi Sky only if the extra travel and viewing time fit comfortably. Two separate admissions are not automatically better value than one unhurried visit.
A simple plan for the visit
Choose a reasonably clear day, identify the correct building and buy the smallest ticket or package that covers what you want. For sunset, allow time upstairs before the light changes; for a family, keep food and rest around the visit rather than scheduling every extra activity.
If you need wheelchair access, use a stroller or have difficulty standing in queues, ask the front desk about the complete route from your chosen entrance to the viewing area. An elevator to the 65th floor does not by itself answer every access question. Once those practical details are settled, the main activity is simple: take your time looking across Hanoi.
